about

We made a few attempts at this one. Todd gave us the idea to play two takes back to back without really stopping in between, which ended up working beautifully. By the time we got into the second take we were locked in.

lyrics

Bring on the Rain
I'll say it again
I need you to come home
so I can rest my bones
I've tried my best alone
I know you've been harmed
He grabbed you too hard
and let you slip away
You cried for him to change
and be a Man again.
My arms are dying to hold you close and hard
Madeline.
My throat is drying from calling for you to come
Madeline.
I sat on a train
waiting for Maine
to take me in its arms
so you could stay unharmed
I'm hoping you will call.
I met her before
your girl under four
Your baby's been crying all day
You need to catch a break
and let me be your Man.
My arms are dying to hold you close and hard
Madeline.
My throat is drying from calling for you to come
Madeline.
Oh to prove I would stay
I'd lay in the rain
just to catch a cold
Because I know you would hold me,
Madeline.
My arms are dying to hold you close and hard
Madeline.
My throat is drying from calling for you to come
Madeline.
